All my life I have sought to express myself with words. Sometimes it has an impact on others and they let me know, but not always. It does have an impact on me. Somehow putting it on 'paper’ crystallises my thoughts and I hear my inner world with more clarity.

Advice
When I was nine or ten my dad would get frustrated with me because I would bring home strays. Finding and caring for lost dogs, stray cats, birds with broken wings and even kids with bad parents was normal for me. I didn’t know how to be anyone else. Dad would say to me, ‘You can’t be the conscience of the world.’
Curiosity
There are a lot of cliché messages taking up space in my head. Not all of them helpful. Over the years I know some of my decisions were influenced by one or more of them without me even realizing it.
On being Welsh
